Policy positions

ECREA is concerned with possible implementations of Plan S. Read ECREA's position on implementation of Plan S. ECREA also endorses position of EASSH on Plan S which voices similar concerns.
ECREA supports quality in publishing and research. See the Public statement on publishing practices in media and communication studies from 2 November 2018.
ECREA is highly interested in ethics of publishing. In 2019, new Task force on Practices of Academic Publishing in Communication will be established.
ECREA is working with European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities (EASSH) to improve the research conditions. See the Report of ECREA Research Advisory Committee from October 2018.
In November 2018, ECREA membership approved ECREA Ethics Committee.
